SUPPORT US

Help us to help you!

The future of The Haywood Foundation relies entirely on local fundraising, donations and legacies. There are a number of ways in which you can contribute to the future of the Foundation, which you can find in this section.

Anyone can become involved in the many and varied activities that take place to increase our profile and to raise funds.

Volunteer

Our volunteers work in the PIER (Patient information and educational resource) Centre which is currently located at Bradwell Hospital.
The PIER is easily accessible and provides a wealth of information for all service users.

Why not volunteer?

  • Meet with users of the service and provide a friendly welcome, a listening ear and support to patients, carers and relatives

  • Help patients and visitors access the information they require by directing them to the appropriate resource

  • Encourage and assist patients, carers and relatives to access online information

  • Help keep information display areas stocked and tidy

Interested in us?

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to learn more about the role of the volunteer, please get in touch by clicking on the button below, or contact June Brammar at [email protected] or 01782 652734 for a friendly chat and more details.
We provide full ongoing training and reimburse mileage and parking charges.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Donations and fundraising

Your kindness means a lot.

The foundation values every donation and your gift will help to promote rheumatology research, education and develop local facilities for everyone.

How your gift will help:

  • Every gift, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference

  • We fund research into better ways to diagnose and manage musculoskeletal conditions

  • We support local health professionals to undertake further specialist education to enable them to better care for their patients

  • We fund and joint fund members of hospital staff working locally to provide innovative services for patients

  • We fund equipment and resources for the hospital and patients to improve people’s experience and quality of life

Click the button below to give either a one-off donation, sponsorship payment or set up a regular payment.

There are many different types of donation:

  • A one-off donation

  • Regular donations

  • Sponsorship of events

  • In memory of a loved one. A donation in memory of loved one serves as a lasting tribute.

If you prefer, you can send a cheque.

Please make the cheque payable to ‘The Haywood Foundation’.

This can be mailed to:

Fundraise for us
Thank you for taking the time to consider fund raising for the Haywood Foundation. We really appreciate your support and commit to using the money to improve the lives of those with arthritis. Leave a gift in your will
The charity receives no government funding, and gifts in wills contribute to a considerable amount of our income each year. Your contributions will support our research, education and initiatives to support local people with arthritis and related conditions.
It’s a wonderful and generous way to leave your mark on the world and to make a difference. It’s also another special way to remember a loved one.
Please contact using the form below if you would like further information.
We would like to honour and celebrate the lives of the following local residents who either very generously left a legacy to the Foundation, or whose friends and family left a donation.

Donations, donations we treasure them all
We welcome the large ones we value the small
They all make a difference to getting things done
From research in health care to education
Committed to helping our patients and more
Investing in research and ways to explore
Innovation in treatment, providing good care
For all of our patients we strive to be there
Seeking improvement in all that we do
The Haywood Foundation is working for you

Bright ideas

The Bright Ideas Programme is an ongoing venture made available by the Haywood Foundation. This is your opportunity to put forward any ideas you have to improve the patient and carer experience at the Haywood Hospital.

We will consider any idea to help people with arthritis or other related conditions that needs between £10 and £10,000 funding.

We want your suggestions

If you have any Bright Ideas, no matter how small or big, we would love to hear from you.
Please leave a message in the box below.
