Foundation cyclists pay royal tribute at Sandringham

The annual Haywood Foundation Charity Bike Ride which set off on Friday 16th September from Stone in Staffordshire reached their destination, 250 miles away at Sandringham, Norfolk two days later on Sunday 18th September.

The 11 riders and two support crew were able to pay their own respects with hundreds of other well-wishers at the gates of the Sandringham Estate, official residence of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Haywood Foundation member Kay Stevenson said: “We had planned our route several months ago, but it was a real honour to finish at Sandringham and pay our respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth a day before her funeral.”
