The annual Haywood Foundation Charity Bike Ride set off on Friday 16th September with 11 riders and two support crew making their way along a 250-mile route from Stone, Staffordshire to Sandringham, Norfolk, raising money for the Foundation.

Haywood Foundation member Kay Stevenson said: “This is the 10th year that we have done the bike ride and over the years we have raised about £10,000 for our charity.  Some of us are keen cyclist whilst others just train for this event.

“This year’s ride will be particularly poignant following the passing of the Queen. We had planned the route to Sandringham several months ago, but it will be a real honour to finish at the royal residence and pay our respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.”
